You can now report without an account

claude

Seen something that breaks the rules? You no longer need to sign in to report it. Visitors can use the Report link on accounts, videos, comments, forum posts, and live chat messages, and it goes to the same admin queue.

To keep spam out, anonymous reports are limited to a few per hour per visitor, and you can't report the same thing twice. Signed-in users still get a higher limit.

Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Effective date: Sep 26 2026 at 8:00 AM Last updated: Oct 19 2026

Welcome to Jace ("Jace", "the site", "we", "us"). Jace is a hobby project run by an individual Jace (or ququoqu). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Jace.

1. What Jace is (and isn't)

Jace is the home of the Jace apps (Jace Social, Jace Launcher, Jace Store, BlidOS, Profile Maker, VLC Redesign, and more). One Jace account signs you in to them, and the site lists the projects and publishes their source code.

Jace used to also have videos, games, live chat, direct messages, group chats, Cloud, organizations, and open forums. Those are no longer shown on the site, but what you posted there is kept, not deleted, and you can still delete it from "Your data" in your account settings.

  • Jace calls itself "a company that makes stuff," but it's a fun, personal project run by one person, not a registered business, and it was built with the help of an AI coding assistant.
  • The site is provided "as is" and "as available." It may go offline, change, lose data, or shut down at any time, with or without notice. Please keep your own copies of anything you care about.
  • If you don't trust the site, don't use it.

2. Who can use Jace

  • There's no minimum age — anyone can use Jace. If you're young, it's a good idea to check with a parent or guardian first, and they're welcome to contact us about your account.
  • Delete any data you want at any time in your settings.
  • You're responsible for your account, your password, and anything done through it. Tell us if you think your account was accessed without your permission.
  • One person may keep several accounts, but you may not use extra accounts to get around a ban, mute, or other moderation action.

3. Your content

  • You own what you post. By posting content on Jace (videos, projects, files, forum posts, comments, messages, profile information), you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and deliver it as needed to run the site. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups that expire in the normal course, and content that's been shared with others in ways we can't retract (for example, a message someone already received).
  • You're responsible for your content. Only post things you have the right to post. Don't upload other people's copyrighted work without permission.
  • Public vs. private. Videos, projects, forum posts, live chat, and profiles may be visible to other people. "Unlisted" videos can be viewed by anyone who has the link. Files in Cloud are private to your account. Direct messages are visible to the people in the conversation, and to site administrators who have access to the site's database (see the Privacy Policy). Don't share anything you wouldn't be comfortable with the site's operator being able to see.
  • Organizations. Content posted as an organization is controlled by that organization's owner and admins.

4. Rules

You agree not to:

  • Post or share anything illegal, or that sexualizes minors, threatens or harasses people, or promotes violence or self-harm.
  • Post hateful content targeting people for who they are.
  • Spam, scam, phish, or impersonate other people or organizations.
  • Post malware, or try to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site, other users' accounts, or its underlying services.
  • Scrape the site in a way that burdens it, or evade rate limits and other protections.
  • Post other people's private information (like addresses or phone numbers) without their consent.
  • Use Jace to break the law or the rights of others.

5. Moderation

Site administrators may review reported content and take action to keep the community safe, including:

  • Removing or hiding content.
  • Muting an account: it can still sign in and browse but can't post new content. Its profile bio and links are replaced with a label, and its existing videos, projects, organizations, forum posts, comments, and messages are hidden (not deleted) while muted.
  • Banning an account: it can't use the site except to contact Jace Official to appeal. The same hiding applies.
  • Restoring everything if the mute or ban is lifted.

Jace's own apps (marked Official, such as Jace Social) can also ban or unban a Jace account, for example when someone breaks the rules in that app. A ban applies to your whole Jace account, signs you out of every app you signed in to with Jace, and can be appealed the same way. Staff accounts can't be banned by apps, and every ban an app makes is logged.

Admins decide moderation actions at their own discretion. If you think an action was a mistake, you can appeal by messaging the Jace Official organization. Appeals are considered, but the decision is final.

6. Reporting

You can report content or accounts that break these rules using the Report links on the site. Reports may be made without an account. Please don't file false or abusive reports.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on Jace infringes your copyright, contact us at jaceofficialbrand@hotmail.com with: what the work is, where it appears on the site (a link), your contact details, and a statement that you're the owner or authorized to act for them. We'll review it and may remove the content.

8. Ending your account

  • You can delete your account any time from your profile settings. Accounts with an email on file confirm deletion through an emailed link; accounts without one confirm with their password. Deleting your account permanently deletes your profile, videos, projects, and scores.
  • We can suspend or remove accounts that break these Terms, or if we need to shut the site down.

9. No warranty

Jace is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We don't promise that the site will be available, that your content will be kept safe or stay online, or that it's free of bugs or harmful components. You use Jace at your own risk.

10. User content and other users

  • Content on Jace is created by users, not by us. We don't review everything before it's posted, don't endorse it, and aren't responsible for its accuracy, legality, or safety. You may see content you find offensive, inaccurate, or harmful.
  • We're not responsible for what other users say or do, on or off the site, including anything that happens in messages, chat, forums, or calls (voice and video calls run through a third-party service, Jitsi). Use good judgment when interacting with people online, and don't share personal information you wouldn't want public.
  • Links on Jace may lead to other sites we don't control. We're not responsible for them.
  • Jace doesn't provide professional advice of any kind. Nothing on the site is legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.
  • Downloads, projects, and files uploaded by users are provided by them. Only download or run things you trust; we don't guarantee they're safe.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Jace, its operator, and anyone who helps run it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, profits, revenue, reputation, or goodwill, however caused, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) Jace, even if we were told it could happen.
  • Our total liability for any claim relating to Jace is limited to US $0. Jace is free, so you haven't paid us anything.
  • Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after it arose, or it's permanently barred.
  • Some places don't allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where they can't be excluded, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jace and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your content, your use of the site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or anyone else's rights (including copyright and privacy rights).

13. Disputes

  • Try to talk first. If you have a problem, contact us at jaceofficialbrand@hotmail.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it before you take any formal action.
  • Individual claims only. To the extent the law allows, any dispute must be brought only in your individual capacity, not as part of a class, group, or representative action.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia in the USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not subject to arbitration will be handled in the courts located in Georgia, and you agree to their jurisdiction.

14. Third-party services

Jace relies on other services to run (see the Privacy Policy) and on services users may link to. Their availability, terms, and privacy practices are outside our control, and we're not responsible for them. Signing in with GitHub is subject to GitHub's terms.

15. Shutting down and changes to the site

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Jace, or the whole site, at any time, with or without notice, and we won't be liable to you or anyone else for doing so. Please keep your own copies of anything important.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make a significant change, we'll post a notice in the READ ME or News forum on the site. Continuing to use Jace after a change means you accept the new Terms.

17. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Jace.
  • If part is invalid. If a part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce something right away, we haven't given up the right to later.
  • No assignment. You can't transfer your account or rights under these Terms; we can transfer ours.
  • Beyond our control. We aren't responsible for failures caused by things outside our reasonable control (outages of hosting or other providers, attacks, natural events, and so on).

Privacy Policy

Effective date: Sep 26 2026 at 8:00 AM Last updated: Oct 19 2026

This explains what information Jace ("we", "us") collects, why, who it's shared with, and what control you have. Jace is a hobby project run by an individual (Jace (or ququoqu). Contact: jaceofficialbrand@hotmail.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information

  • Your username and a password hash (we never store your password itself; it's hashed with bcrypt).
  • An email address, only if you choose to add one, plus whether it's verified.
  • If you sign in with GitHub: your GitHub account ID and, depending on what GitHub shares, your username and email. We don't get your GitHub password.
  • If you turn on two-factor authentication: the secret used to generate your codes.
  • Your account settings, such as notification preferences and appearance (your theme, color theme, custom CSS, and any background color or image you upload). Appearance settings and background images are only shown to you.

Profile information (public unless noted)

  • Bio, website, social links, avatar, and banner image, if you add them.
  • Follower/following relationships.
  • Game scores and leaderboard entries.

Content you create

  • Videos (and thumbnails), projects and their versions, files and source code, issues and comments.
  • Forum topics and replies, live chat messages, group chat messages, and direct messages (including any attachments).
  • Files you store in Cloud, which are private to your account.
  • Videos, games, live chat, direct messages, group chats, Cloud, organizations, and most forums are no longer shown on the site, but what you put in them is kept, not deleted. You can still delete any of it from "Your data".
  • Content you post on behalf of an organization.

Moderation and safety information

  • Reports you file (who reported, what was reported, the reason and details, and a short snapshot of the reported content).
  • Anonymous reports: if you report without an account, we store a salted, one-way hash of your IP address (not the IP itself) so we can limit spam and duplicate reports.
  • Ban and mute status, with the reason and time. If one of Jace's own apps bans or unbans an account, we also log which app did it, when, and why.

Technical information

  • Cookies (see Section 4) and standard server logs that our hosting provider keeps, such as IP address, browser, and requested pages.

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on the site.

2. How we use it

  • To run the site: sign you in, show your profile and content, deliver messages and notifications, and enforce settings like privacy and permissions.
  • To send emails you ask for or need (email verification, password reset, sign-in links, account-deletion confirmation, and notifications you've enabled).
  • To keep the community safe: review reports, moderate content, and stop abuse and spam.
  • To secure the site and fix problems.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

3. Who can see your information

  • The public / other users: your username, profile, and any content you post publicly (videos, projects, forum posts, live chat, comments). "Unlisted" videos are visible to anyone with the link.
  • Recipients: direct and group messages are visible to the people in that conversation.
  • Site administrators: because they operate the site and its database, admins can technically access stored data, including direct messages, unpublished/private content, and email addresses. We only look at private content when needed to run the site, handle a report, or investigate abuse or security problems.
  • Organizations: members and admins can see and manage content posted under their organization.
  • Apps you sign in to with Jace: they get your username and avatar, plus your email address if you allow it, and whether your account is banned or muted. If you allow it, they can also see your game scores, and leaderboards show your username, avatar, and best scores to other players. Jace's own apps (such as Jace Games) can also save new scores to your account.
  • Jace's own apps (marked Official, such as Jace Social): they can sign you in without asking each time. If one asks for your messages when you sign in, it can read your Jace direct messages and group chats and send messages as you, for example to bring your conversations into that app or keep them in sync. You can disconnect any app under Connected apps in your account settings, which stops its access right away.
  • Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect people's safety or the site.

4. Cookies

Jace uses only cookies needed for the site to work:

  • Session cookie: keeps you signed in.
  • Security cookies: protect sign-in and forms from forgery.
  • READ ME cookie: if you're signed out and dismiss the READ ME popup, a small cookie remembers that so it doesn't keep reappearing. It only stores a timestamp.
  • Saved-accounts cookie: if you use the account switcher, remembers the accounts you've signed into in that browser so you can switch between them. It's HTTP-only and only lists accounts you signed into yourself. You can remove an account from it with the trash button, or sign out.
  • Adding-account cookie: when you open the account switcher's Add account popup, a short-lived HTTP-only cookie (it expires after 30 minutes, or as soon as you finish or cancel) remembers that you're adding an account, so signing in with GitHub, an emailed link, or a new sign-up still gets saved to the switcher. It only stores the value "1".

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; you'll just be signed out.

5. Service providers we use

We rely on these providers to run Jace, and your information passes through them:

ProviderWhat for
VercelHosting the website (and its server logs).
NeonThe database that stores accounts, profiles, posts, messages, and other data.
SupabaseStorage for uploaded files (videos, images, project files, Cloud files).
MailjetSending emails. Your email address and the email's contents are shared with them to deliver it.
GitHubOnly if you choose to sign in with GitHub.

These providers have their own privacy policies and may process data in countries other than yours.

6. How long we keep things

  • Your account and content are kept until you delete them or your account.
  • Deleting your account permanently deletes your profile, videos, projects, and scores, and removes you from organizations. Some things may remain: messages and posts other people already received or replied to may remain visible in their own copies or conversations, and copies in provider backups can persist for a limited time until they age out.
  • Muted/banned accounts: their content is hidden, not deleted, so it can be restored if the restriction is lifted. Deleting the account still removes it.
  • Reports and their content snapshots are kept as long as needed for moderation and to spot repeat abuse.
  • Hosting/server logs are kept by Vercel under their own retention policy.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Edit your profile, username, email, password, notification preferences, appearance, and two-factor settings in your account settings.
  • Disconnect any app you signed in to with Jace under Connected apps.
  • Delete your account from your profile settings (see above). With no email on file, you confirm with your password.
  • Delete any data you want at any time in your settings. The "Your data" section of your profile settings has a delete button for each kind of data (videos, projects, forum posts, comments, chat and direct messages you sent, Cloud files, scores, likes/follows/notifications, and profile info), and you can also delete individual items directly.
  • Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or for a correction or deletion we can't do ourselves: jaceofficialbrand@hotmail.com.
  • Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights such as access, portability, correction, deletion, and objecting to certain processing. Contact us and we'll do our best to honor valid requests.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed, sessions use signed and encrypted tokens, and traffic to the site uses HTTPS. But no system is perfectly secure, and Jace is a small hobby project. Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Please don't share sensitive information (passwords, financial details, government IDs) through the site.

9. Children

Jace has no minimum age, so people of any age may have an account. We collect the same limited information from everyone (see Section 1) and don't use it for advertising. A parent or guardian who wants to see, correct, or delete a child's information or account can contact us at jaceofficialbrand@hotmail.com, and we'll help.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. For significant changes, we'll post a notice in the READ ME or News forum. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
